Remember Partpic, the Atlanta-based startup founded by Jewel Burks and Jason Crain? Acquired in 2016 by global retail giant Amazon, Partpic has played an integral role in developing a consumer facing product that lets customers scan and locate needed parts for tools, etc.
According to Techcrunch, currently capable of identifying over 100 types of fasteners which represents thousands, if not millions of parts, by utilizing a barcode scanner, image recognition-based product search, package X-Ray, Smilecode scanner, AR View and more.
