Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel in Charenton, La., has selected Georgia-based Agilysys to enhance efficiency and streamline food and beverage service. The property, which is owned and operated by the Chitimacha Tribe of Louisiana, is a long-time user of the Agilysys Eatec® inventory and procurement system. The property’s executive team wanted fixed and mobile point-of-sale solutions that would optimize food and beverage delivery, along with a payment gateway solution that would secure sensitive cardholder data. They also wanted a business intelligence application that would help managers make strategic data-driven decisions. The Agilysys solutions met the property’s criteria.

Private-event dining can represent a boon to any restaurant’s business. About 20 percent to 30 percent of a typical full-service restaurant’s revenue is generated from private events. Atlanta startup Gather is seeking to meet the needs of this growing market and has raised $2.5 million to help restaurants and venues manage and grow their private events business. The company’s cloud-based software keeps everything, from team communications to invoices, menus and more, all in one place. This enables venues to quickly access and instantly update all the important event-related details they need, through an easy-to-navigate platform.
