Chick-fil-A® has unveiled a complete relaunch of its flagship website, chick-fil-a.com. The new site will serve as the company’s storytelling and information hub. Leading the quick service restaurant industry in designing an experience informed by consumer research, the site puts customer preferences and interests front and center by providing customized content and localized information to each, individual user. An integrated e-commerce experience is planned for 2017 and already the project team is experimenting with localized content within certain markets at launch.


Very Good Research from Vending Tech Company

New research from Gimme Vending, makers of innovative vending technology that provides vending executives better sales, cash, inventory and service data, has shown that customers utilizing its Mobile App on existing machines with the same personnel is proven to reduce vending machine stock-outs while increasing top line revenue for customers. The research was conducted over a four-week period on five vending machines.


Food Resource App among Mobile Award Winners

Each year, the Atlanta Mobile Awards brings brands and technology companies of all sizes together to celebrate the best in mobile marketing, products and experiences. This year, a food tech company was named among the winners.  The Big ATL/Atl Only award was presented to Food Finder Georgia, developed by stable|kernel. Food Finder is a free web and mobile app that connects more than 650,000 food insecure children in Georgia to free food resources.


Do You Have the Flavor for Sweet Success?

The University of Georgia Center for Agribusiness and Economic Development, is now accepting registrations for the 2017 Flavor of Georgia contest. The contest, in its second decade, serves as a springboard for food entrepreneurs, assisting them in testing new products and reaching a larger audience. The competition also helps new craft brands break into new markets and expand sales. Contest finalists will participate in the final round of judging and a public tasting March 21st as part of the governor’s statewide Agricultural Awareness Week. Registration closes February 9th, but contestants can enter at an early discounted rate before January 15th.
