Fan-Friendly Stadium Offers High-Tech Customer Experience
The Mercedes-Benz Stadium is slated to officially open for its first game on August 26th. The designers of the enormous, LEED-certified stadium have built in a range of amenities to optimize the sports and entertainment experience: AMB Sports & Entertainment (AMBSE) is working with IBM iX to design and create a highly personalized, cloud-based mobile app experience for Atlanta Falcons fans, Atlanta United supporters, and Mercedes-Benz stadium event goers.
The IBM Fan Experience application will serve as fans’ one-stop shop to access team content, parking, mobile ticketing, and other services. In addition, NCR Corporation, founding partner and Official Consumer Transaction Technology Provider for the stadium, will provide POS, wayfinding, kitchen system and digital menu technology throughout the concessions areas. Fans have much to look forward to!
Grocery Chain Partners for Online Delivery
German-based discount grocery chain Aldi Inc. is launching a pilot project with Instacart Inc., to deliver groceries to customers in three cities, including Atlanta, Georgia. Instacart’s service will allow customers to order groceries from Aldi online and receive their deliveries within an hour. The move builds upon the grocer’s plans to invest $3.4 billion towards renovations and adding more stores nationwide over the next five years.
