Georgia Logistics Summit: Technology Continues to Move the Industry Forward


Over 1,000 experts in Georgia’s supply chain and logistics community gathered at the World Congress Center May 16-17 to discover what’s top of mind at the Georgia Logistics Summit.

Jannine Miller, the Director of the Center of Innovation for Logistics, a division of the Georgia Department of Economic Development, pens a recap of the Summit, noting how digitization of the supply chain catalyzes success:

“Data is now collected on the whereabouts of cargo at every point in the supply chain and reported in real-time to the next handler or hauler of the cargo. This invaluable information – available because of new technologies – is ultimately used to analyze problem areas and capture opportunities that can improve overall operations of the transport and warehousing of inventory.”
