ARC Praises Norcross and Peachtree Corners for Environmentally Friendly Efforts

Norcross and Peachtree Corners were recognized by the Atlanta Regional Commission for the environmentally friendly efforts.  Norcross was recognized for projects including:

  • Greenspace availability within every half-mile of every resident
  • Creating art from re-purposed materials

Peachtree corners was recognized for projects including:

  • Charging station availability for cars near city hall
  • Areas to recycle old cell phones, batteries, etc.

ARC Board Chairman Kerry Armstrong comments on the green friendly Atlanta communities saying, “Their efforts to conserve energy, reduce waste and protect natural resources set an example for the entire region.”
