Atlanta City Council Approves Incentives for Three Tech Companies

ATLANTA, GA– July 06, 2016– The Atlanta City Council approved up to $500, 000 worth of incentives for three tech companies on Tuesday:

  • Global Payments– Grant of up to $75,000
    According to filings with Invest Atlanta, the company will invest $18 million to move its corporate headquarters from Sandy Springs, Ga., bringing 150 high-paying jobs to Buckhead.
  • Keysight Technologies-Grant of up to $100,000
    Santa Rosa, Calif.-based company that will invest $14 million in a software development center to be located at Midtown’s Tech Square and is expected to create 250 jobs.

Council also passed an ordinance aimed at GE Digital which will locate the North American headquarters of its 250-job Information Technology unit in Midtown. The move, which will involve a $3million investment by GE Digital, is part of GE’s plan to consolidate work from around the country.

The three grants are currently awaiting approval by Invest Atlanta’s board.
