ATLANTA, GA –December 15, 2016– The website SportTechie.com on Tuesday released its list of the 25 most tech-savvy sports franchises in the world and two Atlanta teams made the cut. The Atlanta Braves ranked 6th and the Atlanta Hawks ranked 3rd on the list.

The Atlanta Braves will be relocating to its new home in 2017 at SunTrust Park, one of the most technologically advanced stadiums in the world. Through a deal with Comcast, the new ballpark will include an all-fiber network and help fans stay connected as they text, Tweet, Snap, share, post and stream video across social media and online.

The Atlanta Hawks was one of the first professional sports teams to adopt 3D projection mapping on the court during player introductions and it will combine 3D motion capture technology, cryotherapy, sensory deprivation tanks and in-ground hydrotherapy to better treat players at its new team training facility co-located Emory Healthcare’s sports medicine center. In November, the team announced plans for a $192.5 million high-tech renovation of its home, Philips Arena.
