ATLANTA– January 11th, 2016– Airbnb recently released it’s Travel Trends Report identifying 16 Neighborhoods to discover in 2016 and Atlanta made the cut.
Atlanta’s Poncey-Highland, which is also fast-becoming an emerging innovation enclave, ranked 12th on the list. One reason for the neighborhood’s popularity is it’s unique shopping . While traditional malls attract visitors, more and more people are seeking out neighborhoods where local artisans congregate and sell their unique wares such as District VII in Budapest, Hungary or Poncey Highland in Atlanta, Georgia.
Airbnb analyzed the travel patterns of more than 40 million people that stayed in homes on Airbnb in 2015 and selected neighborhoods in cities that have gained momentum in the past year.
