Atlanta Ranked Among the Best Cities for Gamers

ATLANTA, GA– July 7, 2017– Wallet Hub, a personal finance website, has ranked Atlanta as #5 on its 2017’s Best Cities for Gamers list. WalletHub’s data team compared the 100 largest U.S. cities across 20 key indicators of gamer-friendliness. Their data set ranges from average internet speed to video-game stores per capita to number of esports tournaments.

About half of U.S. adults play video games, and nearly two in three households are home to at least one gamer who plays an average of three to four hours per week.

In Georgia there are 120 game development studios in the state and the industry had an estimated $550 million economic impact in 2015. The industry is just one vital part of a bigger Digital Entertainment Technology ecosystem in Georgia that encompasses:
