Atlanta’s Damballa Sold for Nearly $9 Million

ATLANTA, GA–July 21, 2016–  Information security firm, Damballa Inc. has been acquired by El Segundo, Calif.-based private equity firm K1 Capital for nearly $9 million, according to The Atlanta Business Chronicle. Damballa will be merged with Roswell, Ga.-based Core Security, a K1 portfolio company.

Damballa is a network security monitoring system that provides evidence of threat-related activity needed to prevent data theft. The company discovers criminal operators that have already bypassed perimeter defenses and works to terminate criminal activity, stop data theft, minimize business disruption, and reduce the time to response and remediation.
