The hub that is Switchyards brings new meaning to the word “club.” Located in a renovated Downtown Atlanta space, Switchyards Downtown Club functions as a coffee shop, workspace, an events area, and an incubator for consumer and design-focused startups.
The January 27th opening was accompanied by a series of presentations and a Q&A with none other than Mayor Kasim Reed. The startups who did speak (FanBeat, Primer Sports, and Fittery) showcased product features and functionality. Following was the lighting of the neon sign with the Mayor.
After flipping the switch on the neon sign, which read “Made With Soul In Atlanta,” a motto Switchyards coined, Michael Tavani, Founder of the club sat down with that Mayor to discuss the importance of the hub in Atlanta. “It’s exciting news that more than 150 innovative startups will work at Switchyards Downtown Club, building the next great tech companies in the heart of Downtown Atlanta,” said Mayor Reed.
