A 21st Century One Room Schoolhouse is coming to the Emory Area

ATLANTA– March 07, 2016–21st Century Stem Academy, Atlanta’s high-tech version of the one room schoolhouse, opens in August on Clairmont Road, near Emory University. University of Chicago professor Benjamin Bloom found that combining mastery based learning and prohibitively expensive individualized tutoring produced students who scored, on average, higher than 98% of all other students.

School founder Gareth Genner, former President of an elite college prep school, has spent twenty years solving Bloom’s “Two Sigma Problem” and this school achieves that goal by leveraging accomplished teachers with a research-based blended learning curriculum and one-to-one technology to provide an affordable, personalized, STEM focused education for every student.
