Augusta, GA – September 23, 2015– Shan Cooper, Vice President of Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company, will be the keynote speaker for the 2015 Women in Business Signature Event on October 1st. The Signature Event is one of Augusta’s premier events for women, allowing them to come together for a night of networking, professional development and personal growth while being inspired by nationally renowned female business leaders. The evening dinner event will be held at the Augusta Marriott Hotel at the Convention Center and begins at 6:00 p.m.

Marie Jackson, Chair of the Chamber’s Women in Business Steering Committee says, “We are thrilled that Ms. Cooper has accepted our invitation to speak. She has an extraordinary personal and professional story to share with our audience and I know that it will be a wonderful evening.”

Cooper holds an MBA from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University and is the recipient of multiple national awards. Among her many honors, are being named one of Georgia Trend magazine’s “Most Influential Georgians” in 2012, 2013 and 1014 and “Most Respected Business Leader” in 2015. Women In Business is an Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce program that provides an opportunity for area businesswomen to network effectively with the goal of enhancing professional and personal development through monthly luncheon meetings and other events.
