Bluefin Payment Systems and iModules Software Announce Partnership for PCI-Validated P2PE

ATLANTA, GA— December 7, 2016– Bluefin Payment Systems, the leading provider of PCI-validated Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE) solutions and iModules Software announced today the availability of Bluefin’s P2PE solution on the iModules Software platform.

iModules Software is the leader in Constituent Engagement Management software for educational institutions and serves more than 800 clients. The company’s software transforms how institutions create relevant constituent experiences and achieve fundraising success through web content management, marketing communications, online giving, event management, e-commerce, and social media integration.

Bluefin’s PCI-validated P2PE solution secures credit and debit card transactions by encrypting all data within a PCI-approved point of entry swipe or keypad device, preventing clear-text cardholder data from being available in the device or the merchant’s system where it could be exposed to malware. Data decryption is only done offsite in a Bluefin hardware security module (HSM).

With Bluefin’s Decryptx Decryption as a Service (DaaS) product, iModules can now provide PCI-validated P2PE through their current customer integrations – requiring no change to a merchant’s transactional flow or processing relationship.

“The security of our clients’ payment transactions is our top priority,” said Fred Weiss, iModules President and CEO. “PCI-validated P2PE is the gold standard in payment security and we’re excited to bring Bluefin’s solution to our clients directly through the iModules platform.”

Benefits of a PCI-validated P2PE solution for merchants include reduced PCI compliance and scope, saving time and money on annual audits, and the assurance that the technology has been vetted and approved by the PCI Security Standards Council (SSC).

“According to the Identity Theft Resource Center, there have been 932 reported data breaches in the U.S. this year, an increase of 26.9% over last year’s record pace for the same time period,” said Greg Cornwell, Senior Vice President, Security Solutions at Bluefin. “Hackers don’t discriminate and educational institutions are an attractive target because of the sheer volume of personal and payment data they process. iModules Software recognizes the need to protect their clients’ payment data with PCI-validated P2PE and we are very pleased to bring this solution to their customer base.”
