ATLANTA, GA–April 19, 2016– The Diocesan Information Services Conference (DISC) has existed for over 30 years to support dioceses in North America in their use of information technology to further the mission of the Catholic Church. Since DISC’s origins as an interest group of the Diocesan Fiscal Managers Conference (DFMC), the organization has tried to keep pace with the ever changing world of information and technology, while balancing the pastoral needs of our evolving Church.
The annual DISC Conference is the premier showcase for the use of information technology within the Catholic Church. Conference attendees are the decision-makers responsible for strategic planning, budgeting, oversight, and implementation of technology and communications systems. Conferees represent Catholic Dioceses, Parishes and Schools through the United States and Canada and DISC offers ample face time between exhibitors and participants.
This year our conference will be in Atlanta, June 23 through June 25, pre-conference, June 22. Products and services at DISC exhibits should feature emerging trends in information technology with a particular focus on the nonprofit and religious sectors.
