ATLANTA,GA– February 4, 2016 – The Technology Association of Georgia, North America’s largest statewide trade association dedicated to technology, today announced a call for applications for the first annual WellTec Next Awards.
Interested companies will have until February 26, 2016 to apply to be considered for this annual award which will recognize the top 30 innovative providers in the southeast and provide additional recognition for those providers in the following categories:
• Physician groups
Ultimately, the event seeks to recognize and celebrate the use of technology in innovation in driving better patient-caregiver relationships.
“The healthcare industry on a whole had the unfavorable reputation for antiquated and slow,” said Baha Zeidan, CEO of Azalea Health and Well Tech Next task force member. “It is important that we support programs like this that recognize and showcase those providers who are using technology to provide better and more effective care to their patients.”
The WellTech Awards will be presented during the 2016 Health Policy and Clinical Practice Conference that runs from March 31st to April 2nd, 2016 at the riverfront Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort and Spa in Savannah, GA.
The Conference will include four leading National Health Policy experts from the US Department of Health and Human Services, Agency for Health, Research and Quality, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid and Altarium will provide information on the current status of the Affordable Care Act and planned reimbursement changes to occur in 2016.

About the 2016 Health Policy and Clinical Practice Conference
Attendees at the 2016 conference will include nurses, physicians, physical therapists, pharmD, chiropractors, and the general public. In 2015, the 3-day conference attracted more than 125 attendees and featured speakers from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, Institutes of Medicine, FDA and state department of community health.
In 2016, the conference will feature an impressive collection of keynote speakers and the conference has additionally collaborated with the US Dept. of Health and Human Services to bring a SHARE Decision Making Train the Trainer program to be held the day before the conference Thursday March 31, 2016.
