Atlanta, GA — Ready for the fifth annual Georgia Gives Day tomorrow, Thursday, November 17, 2016? This state-wide online fundraiser drives awareness and donations for nonprofits across Georgia, encouraging residents to come together for a day of giving. Since the inaugural event in 2012, Georgia Gives Day has activated more than 54,000 donors, who have given upwards of $9 million to support more than 2,400 organizations across the state.
TAG Education Collaborative (TAG-Ed), the charitable affiliate of the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), is pleased to announce its participation in the fifth annual Georgia Gives Day. To donate to TAG Education Collaborative, a 501(C)(3) non-profit, please visit the online portal here (bit.ly/DonateTAGEd).
All proceeds made through Georgia Gives Day will go directly toward TAG-Ed’s STEM educational programming for K-12 Georgia students. Highlighted programs include Georgia STEM Day, an annual awareness campaign that engages over 600,000 students, the Exploring STEM Careers Pipeline Program, a two-year program that engages underserved students in developing STEM skills, and the High School Summer Internship Program, an initiative that has immersed over 800 high school students in five-week, paid summer internships. Through these opportunities, TAG-Ed engages over one million Georgia students annually in STEM.
