Inc. magazine revealed that InterDev, an Atlanta-area provider of information technology, security and GIS services, was named to its 37th annual Inc. 500|5000 list — an exclusive ranking of the nation’s most successful, fastest-growing private companies. This was InterDev’s second appearance on the Inc. 5000, which represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent small businesses.
“We are honored to make the Inc. 5000 list for the second time in six years and to rank so highly among Atlanta-area Information Technology (IT) providers,” said InterDev CEO Gary Nichols. “Making the list in 2013 was a major milestone for us, and this second award underscores an even more significant achievement — the exponentially difficult compounding of growth on top of growth.”
From the first personal computers in 1980 to today’s artificial intelligence and smart cities initiatives, InterDev has been providing information technology support and security services to private and public-sector entities for nearly four decades.
In addition to two listings on the Inc. 5000, InterDev has been named a Pacesetter by the Atlanta Business Chronicle, an award that honors the 100 fastest growing, privately held companies in Atlanta. InterDev has also been ranked No. 4 among IT service providers nationwide by Inc. in 2013. Both Barracuda Networks and Microsoft have recognized InterDev through elite partner certifications — InterDev was named 2018 Barracuda Partner of the Year Southeast and remains a Certified Diamond Partner.
“We would like to thank everyone that has been instrumental in our success, from the InterDev team that delivers top-quality service, every day, to the many private companies and public-sector entities that have chosen us to develop and manage their IT, security and GIS programs, and infrastructure,” said Nichols. “Hiring the best possible talent has been key to our success.”
“The companies on this year’s Inc. 5000 have followed so many different paths to success,” says Inc. editor in chief James Ledbetter. “There’s no single course you can follow or investment you can make that will guarantee this kind of spectacular growth. But what they have in common is persistence and seizing opportunities.”
The annual Inc. 5000 event honoring the companies on the list will be held October 10 to 12, 2019, at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort and Spa in Phoenix, Arizona. Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including award methodology, company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region, and other criteria, can be found at www.inc.com/inc5000.
