Lancope® Delivers Record First Half on Strong Demand for StealthWatch Network Visibility and Security Intelligence Solution

Lancope, Inc., a leader in network visibility and security intelligence, announced today record results for the first half, ending June 30, 2015. The company delivered 75% sales growth and increased the number of new customers by 54% over the same half last year. In addition, Lancope saw its average deal size grow significantly, as enterprises adopted the company’s network security solutions more broadly to deliver holistic visibility and security intelligence across their entire network infrastructures. The top three drivers of new and expanding customer purchases of the company’s StealthWatch® System are 1) the need for deeper internal visibility, 2) enabling network segmentation, and 3) improving advanced threat detection.

Lancope added 77 new customers during the first half of the year, throughout the United States, Africa, ASEAN, the United Kingdom, and Western Europe. Healthcare, finance and banking, and higher education continued to be the strongest verticals for the company. Today, 35 of the Fortune 100 are Lancope customers.

“Organizations are recognizing that they need visibility and accountability into what is happening on their networks, to defend themselves against attacks that enter through a porous perimeter, and then have carte-blanche access to the crown jewels,” said Mike Potts, president and CEO of Lancope. “While there is a lot of noise in the market from upstarts bringing unproven solutions to market, Lancope continues to work with Fortune 1000 organizations, government agencies, educational institutions and others serious about the security of their data. We are providing these organizations with enterprise-class visibility, manageability and security intelligence that is actionable, efficient and highly comprehensive. We are privileged to work with companies around the world to provide them with the network security they need to protect their most important assets, today and in the future.”

The company also delivered more robust capabilities for threat detection and enterprise visibility, including the following new functionality:
• ProxyWatch™, which extends network visibility by enabling organizations to see the translated address associated with the other side of a proxy conversation
• The StealthWatch® System 6.7 platform, which includes the new ProxyWatch functionality, plus integration with Cisco TrustSec, new security algorithms to detect communications with Tor network and Bogon IP addresses, and easy integration with other security tools
• UDP Director™ appliance, for dramatically simplified data collection and distribution across enterprise networks.

So far this year, Lancope has also hired Gavin Reid, who was previously with Fidelity Investments, Cisco Systems and NASA, as vice president of threat intelligence. Further, the company received numerous accolades during the first half of the year, including:
• SANS Institute’s Best of 2014 Award for Advanced Threat Detection
• Infoworld 2015 Technology of the Year Award
• #2 on the Cybersecurity 500 List
• Atlanta Business Chronicle Pacesetter Award
• Shortlisted for “Best Product” in INQUIRER Tech Hero Awards
Potts continued, “In addition to the endorsement from new and existing customers, industry leaders and analysts continue to recognize Lancope’s ability to help customers quickly and comprehensively understand what’s happening on their networks. With this knowledge, our customers are able to shift their security architecture, as well as improve their incident response times and overall security posture. We are grateful for the accolades, and our customers’ trust in us, and continue to strive to deliver ever-greater ways for organizations to gain visibility into what is happening on their networks.”
