McKesson Launches OneContent™ 17.0 Solution

ATLANTA, GA — January 25, 2016 –To help facilitate the content management needs across a healthcare enterprise, McKesson has launched OneContent™ 17.0. The OneContent solution helps enable the management of all digital assets and configurable information with the ability to help drive workflow and help optimize existing manual processes. This solution helps support a healthcare organization’s existing clinical or financial system functionality and helps the hospital to better serve patients by making the right information accessible, to the right user, at the right time.

This latest release of OneContent introduces support for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, which are commonly used in Accounts Payable, Materials Management and Human Resources departments or domains. For healthcare organization departments that are traditionally very paper-dependent with labor-intensive processes, the new OneContent 17.0 solution provides much needed efficiencies that help optimize workflow and processes in a prescriptive way for each department.

  • OneContent™ Payables Folder to address the needs of the Accounts Payable (AP) department by managing content and workflows related to invoices, invoice approvals, vendor correspondence and vendor contracts.
  • OneContent™ Materials Folder to address the needs of the Materials Management (MM) department by managing the content and workflows related to requisitions, vendor catalogs, packing slips and vendor returns.
  • OneContent™ Employee Folder to address the needs of the Human Resources (HR) department by managing payroll information and linking supporting documentation to the employee’s record.

In addition, unique integrations have been established with McKesson Supply Chain Management (MSCM) and McKesson Fiscal Management (MFM) to help hospitals take advantage of favorable payment terms with expedited vendor invoice processing.

“OneContent 17.0 provides key domain-specific functionality which will allow a healthcare enterprise to consolidate its content management applications. This solution will deliver a consolidated view of data to help our customers leverage information to make decisions as they transition to value based care,” said Nimesh Shah, President, Enterprise Information Solutions, McKesson Technology Solutions.

This consolidation helps to minimize infrastructure costs and enables access to clinical and non-clinical information within a single system. By integrating with the various existing departmental systems, from clinical to financial, OneContent provides a user interface to help manage the content needs across the entire healthcare organization.
