ATLANTA (Arpil 2, 2019) – Money20/20, the premier global conference for the payments and fintech industries, is partnering with the FinTech South Conference, taking place April 22 – 23, 2019 in Atlanta, Ga. The Money20/20 Roadshow event series is heading to Atlanta for the second year, and is partnering on the 2019 Kick-Off Reception sponsored by Featurespace, on April 22 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The event will celebrate the official start of FinTech South and the thriving fintech ecosystem in the southeast.

Attracting international companies and speakers across multiple industries, FinTech South brings together 450 FinTech companies employing more than 130,000 employees globally, generating $72 billion in revenues, and processing more than 118 billion transactions annually. Hosted by the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), with the support of regional fintech companies and community partners, the two-day conference will host an exchange of insights, innovations and trends fueling tomorrow’s financial tech industry.

“Atlanta’s fintech companies have been busy advancing the industry and we see it every day at our U.S. offices in Transaction Alley,” says Laura Gibson, Director of Operations at leading risk management company Featurespace. “We are proud to bring the industry together at FinTech South and sponsor the kick-off reception for another great conference.”

FinTech South will offer more than 90 speakers, featuring current and emerging companies from region and beyond. Keynotes, panel discussions and innovation spotlights will cover a variety of topics including Blockchain, Open Banking, Digital Identity, Financial Inclusion, Real Time Payments, Gig Economy, Crypto and Lending.

“Atlanta continues to grow as a global leader in the fintech space and we are excited to return to this fintech hub as the second stop on our 2019 Roadshow,” said Monique Ruff-Bell, Event Director, Money20/20 USA. “We had an incredibly successful event last year, connecting with the local fintech community and immersing ourselves in the ecosystem at FinTech South. We look forward to kicking off the 2019 conference and supporting industry innovation in the South and across the country.”

The Money20/20 Roadshow event series has become synonymous with the Money20/20 brand, setting this year-round thought leadership platform apart from other conferences. While the headline event draws attendees from around the world, the roadshows tap into local fintech hubs and spot where the innovators and most influential players are doing business. They provide a stage for communities that are enthusiastic about financial technology to showcase their insights to local peers and provide a platform to foster new connections and build partnerships in the lead up to Money20/20. Money20/20 USA will be held in Las Vegas from October 27-30, 2019.

“The industry’s participation in our inaugural event last year far exceeded our expectations, and we are thrilled to kick off FinTech South 2019 once again in partnership with Money20/20,” says Larry Williams, president and CEO of TAG, and host of FinTech South. “Atlanta has put its stake in the ground as a fintech hub. We are thrilled to bring together the companies and organizations that helped us put our city on the map as the epicenter of financial technology and innovation in the Southeast.”
