ATLANTA & PALM BEACH, FL – November 16, 2015 – Parkmobile, LLC announced today that their mobile payments solution is now available in Town of Palm Beach. The service allows drivers to pay for parking with their smartphones using Parkmobile’s mobile applications for iPhone, Android, Windows, Amazon, and Blackberry phones.

Parkmobile’s mobile payment system is very simple to use. Customers may register online at www.parkmobile.com or download the mobile app in their phone’s app store. Once registered, they may use the mobile app, internet, or a toll free number to pay for parking. After setting up their account, customers can immediately start using the system with their registered mobile phone.
Parking enforcement officers will be able to see that a motorist has paid with Parkmobile using a wireless handheld device, so customers should not worry if the meter does not change. Mobile app users may also choose to receive alerts and reminders 15 minutes prior to expiration of their parking session. Time limits on meters still apply and Parkmobile will not allow users to purchase more time than allotted by the meters.
In addition, full-time Palm Beach residents will receive a discount on their parking and will not be required to pay the transaction fee assessed by Parkmobile when paying through the app. To qualify, residents must register at the Finance department in Palm Beach Town Hall. Residents who already have valid residential parking permits may simply call the Finance department at 561-838-5444 to update their information after registering for Parkmobile.
Parkmobile’s mobile payment solution is an added payment option and is intended to complement existing parking payment options. All existing forms of payment (credit and debit cards) are still valid for meter use.
