ATLANTA–August 19, 2015– Comcast Business announced today a technology agreement with Piedmont Urgent Care by WellStreet. The Atlanta-based health care provider will leverage Comcast’s robust high speed internet service to improve its business efficiencies and better support employees at its corporate headquarters. In addition, WellStreet’s nine area urgent care locations will now be equipped with Comcast’s advanced video platform.
“Comcast Business was able to offer us superior technological capabilities beyond that of any other provider,” said Doug Brown, CEO of Piedmont Urgent Care by WellStreet. “By equipping our nine service locations with Comcast’s advanced video service, we can now provide patrons a state-of-the-art experience while they wait. In addition, our employees will now have the most advanced network available to support their daily requirements.”
This latest agreement is part of Comcast Business’ expansion of its 10 Gigabit Ethernet Network, announced earlier this year, across Atlanta. The advanced fiber network supports local businesses, schools, hospitals and government agencies.
“Comcast Business is thrilled to partner with top-of-the-line health care providers like Piedmont Urgent Care by WellStreet,” said Cleve Lewis, vice president of Comcast Business in Atlanta. “In order for medical providers to continue to deliver exceptional services to patients, equally exceptional technology is fundamental to success.”
