ATLANTA, GA– October 20, 2016– The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), the state’s leading association dedicated to the promotion and economic advancement of Georgia’s technology industry, is working with the Home Depot on November 9th to hold a family-friendly cyber security awareness event presented by the Atlanta based non-profit Savvy Cyber Kids.
This event will be hosted at the Home Depot headquarters in Atlanta with the purpose of bringing together parents and their kids (ages 3- 18) to teach them about how to stay safe online. Today, children grow up using the Internet almost every day and with that comes dangers they are not always aware of. Unfortunately, children and teenagers often times meet new friends online and follow-up in person, but most cannot tell if their new friend is an adult pretending to be a child or not.
This fun event is implemented through a combination of discussions and hands on activities to provide an engaging and enriching learning experience.
