TAG Digital Media & Entertainment Announces 2017 Entertainment Summit


ATLANTA, GA — June 15, 2017 – The TAG Digital Media & Entertainment Society announced its 2017 Digital Media & Entertainment Summit will take place on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at the beautiful Hank Aaron Terrace in The Battery Atlanta at SunTrust Park. This has been an exciting year in Georgia for Film, Music and Digital Entertainment and we are honored to have Lee Thomas, Deputy Commissioner of the Georgia Film, Music & Digital Entertainment Office make this year’s Keynote Address.

In following the tradition of previous Summits, TAG will be presenting its annual ‘Icons of the Industry Award’ to someone of long standing service in Media and Entertainment in GA as well as our ‘Media Mover Award’ and ‘Technology Innovation Award.’

We are seeking nominations for all three awards from industry professionals in technology, media, and entertainment.

About Lee Thomas

Lee Thomas is a Deputy Commissioner at the Georgia Department of Economic Development, and division director of the Georgia Film, Music & Digital Entertainment Office. A native Atlantan, Lee received a Bachelor of the Arts in Radio -TV -Film from UGA, a Master’s Degree in Film Studies from Georgia State University, then entered the Tisch School of the Arts Doctoral Program in Cinema Studies at New York University. She returned to Atlanta in 1996 to work for the Georgia Film and Videotape Office as a project manager, and then became a location specialist for the office in 1998.  After finding locations for film and television projects for 12 years, Lee became director of the film division in 2010.
