TAG-Ed Commits Support to U.S. News National Workforce Development Leadership Conference

ATLANTA, GA—February 2, 2018 — TAG Education Collaborative, the charitable arm of the Technology Association of Georgia, is proud to announce it is joining forces with U.S. News & World Report for its seventh annual U.S. News STEM Solutions Presents: Workforce of Tomorrow National Leadership Conference. Both organizations are committed to collaborating on addressing the pipeline into STEM careers through STEM education and workforce development.

Each year, this national conference unites the brightest minds in education and workforce development—business leaders, technology experts, non-profit organizers, policymakers and educators—to establish a self-sustaining STEM workforce for the future. The 2018 event is scheduled for April 4-6 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.

TAG-Ed strengthens Georgia’s future workforce by providing students with access, exposure and awareness to STEM opportunities through innovative and relevant hands-on learning experiences.  By providing exposure today through internships, professional development, immersion experiences and connections to industry professionals we help shape the future workforce possibilities and talent of tomorrow.

“Developing a national workforce skilled in science, technology, engineering and math is a complex task, but at its heart is one fundamental goal: jobs,” said Brian Kelly, Editor and Chief Content Officer at U.S. News & World Report. “This dedicated forum bridges dialogue between leaders across a broad cross-section of industries. The summit will address skills, jobs and the new-collar economy with a sharp focus on our mission of spotlighting solutions and best practices that are advancing STEM across the country. We are delighted that ORGANIZATION is committing its support by lending their thought leadership to this event.”

“As an organization positioned in a nationally recognized technology hub, TAG-Ed is committed to participating in national conversations and initiatives that positively impact a future STEM workforce for all students, ” said Errika Moore, Executive Director, TAG Education Collaborative. “As such we’re excited to join our colleagues in supporting the 2018 Workforce of Tomorrow National Leadership Conference.”

New this year, Workforce of Tomorrow has partnered with the STEM Funders Network’s STEM Learning Ecosystems Initiative and the USA Science & Engineering Festival, to champion the STEM cause by incorporating real-world perspectives from the non-profits, educators, parents and students directly impacted by forum discussions.

The conference returns to Washington, D.C., to capitalize on the momentum that began at the 2014 conference.
