TAG_Digital_Media_and_EntertainmentATLANTA, GA— October 11, 2016—The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) and its TAG Digital Media & Entertainment society will hosts its annual Digital Media & Entertainment Industry Summit which will be held on Wednesday, October 12th 11:00am – 4:00pm at the Georgia Piedmont Technical College Conference Center  which is located at 495 North Indian Creek Drive, Clarkston, GA 30021.

This year, the event will honor Georgia’s preeminent technology visionary, Jeff Arnold, with an ‘Icons of the Industry’ Award at its 2016 Digital Media & Entertainment Industry Summit.

arnold-jeff-750xx2362-3149-81-0Jeff Arnold is Chairman and CEO of Sharecare, a health and wellness engagement platform he founded with Dr. Mehmet Oz, in partnership with Harpo Productions, Sony Pictures Television and Discovery Communications. Previously, Mr. Arnold was Chairman and CEO of HowStuffWorks.com, an award-winning online resource used by millions of people each month, which he sold to Discovery Communications, where he served as Chief Digital Strategy Officer, and Chief Architect of The Curiosity Project until December 2011.

In 1998, he founded and served as CEO of WebMD, the first healthcare company to harness the power of the Internet to create a destination for consumers, healthcare institutions and physicians to find trustworthy medical information.

The event will also feature a keynote address from “Mama Jan” Smith, a nationally recognized singer/songwriter/musician. Jan Smith is also a Grammy nominated producer, GA Music Hall of Fame inductee, and a multi-platinum certified vocal coach/vocal producer. Owner of Jan Smith Studios in Atlanta,her clients include Usher, Rob Thomas/Matchbox Twenty, Justin Bieber, The Band Perry, Jill Scott, Collective Soul, India Arie, Sugarland, Drake, Mastodon and FLA/GA Line.

Discussion panels will also be a part of the event with panelists that include:
