ATLANTA, GA (November 30, 2015) — The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) and TAG Business Intelligence and Analytics Society announced today that Mike Thompson, VP of Business Intelligence/ Data Architecture of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, will keynote the 2015 TAG BI/A Innovation Awards.

In his current role, Mike Thompson is responsible for defining the data governance, information services and architecture around data use and analytics for the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. The program encompasses all of Children’s efforts to address the challenges of rising costs while improving medical outcomes and quality of care through an integrated clinical and financial modeling framework.

Prior to joining Children’s, Mr. Thompson was notably the VP of Strategic Program Lead – Data and Analytics at SunTrust Bank, VP of Risk, Profitability and Planning at IPS-Sendero, and VP of Product Development at Profitstar.

Mike Thompson has degrees from the University of Kansas for Accounting and Economics, the University Of Nebraska At Omaha for Finance & Banking and Walden University for Post Graduate Work in Finance and Technology.

The 2015 awards program will honor large and small/mid-size enterprises that have leveraged BI and Analytics in innovative ways in order to effect positive changes in their organizations. The Awards will take place on December 3rd, 2015 at 6:00- 9:30 pm EST at the Westin Atlanta Perimeter North, 7 Concourse Parkway, Atlanta, GA 30328.
