Warner Robin’s Museum of Aviation Hosts GA Kids’ STEM Day

WARNER ROBINS, GA– August 05-, 2015– The Museum of Aviation National STEM Academy is excited to present it’s Annual GA Kids’ STEM Day on 9:00 Am -2:00 PM, Saturday August 15 at the Century of Flight Hangar at the Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins, Georgia.

Designed for 2nd- 5th grade students, the Annual GA Kids’ STEM Day offers students  a day of exploration and innovation.  Students get to participate in fun science technology, engineering and math activities and rotate through four different STEM workshops, such as circuitry and rockets. Career mentors will also talk about their careers and how STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) affects their daily lives at work.

Lunch will be provided for the event, however Pre-registration is required.

The Museum of Aviation Education Center operates Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) and History-focused programs for learners ages 4 and older under four major programs. Rigorous, goal setting experiences challenge students to solve problems. Programs are aligned to the Common Core Georgia Performance Standards. Programs highlight career opportunities and workforce development strategies and are conducted both on school site and at the Museum of Aviation. During the FY 2014 year, 48,424 participants took part in Museum of Aviation education programs.
