A new Coca-Cola billboard popped up in Times Square, New York this month–no big deal, you might say if this were not the world’s first robotic, 3-D digital sign. This particular 60-foot display composed of 1,760 independently moving LED screens synchronized with music, mist, and mood-lifting imagery, is the latest feat in Coca-Cola’s efforts to revitalize its interactive marketing.
Coca-Cola recently partnered with Google Cloud to deliver highly personalized, connected content from retailers, restaurants, and theaters to banner ads on your smartphone. Soft drink campaigns and store specials are distributed using mobile kiosk and wireless beacon technology.
