The Coca-Cola Company invests in its surrounding community and in the next generation of technologists, scientists, mathematicians, and engineers. In partnership with TAG Education Collaborative, the Atlanta BridgeCommunity hosted a four-week coding camp this past summer at STEAMport Academy. High school students spent four weeks learning how to create tech-enabled products using programming language and to incorporate a business model, marketing and other aspects of entrepreneurship.
At the close of the program session, five teams had an opportunity to pitch their most creative ideas to some of Atlanta’s leading investors before family, friends, and mentors at Coca-Cola’s Midtown headquarters. These included a technology to protect phones from water damage, a pill with the potential to monitor and track health issues related to heart problems and diabetes.
