New Look, Bold Goal for Atlanta Community Food Bank

The Atlanta Community Food Bank kicked off national Hunger Action Month by launching its new brand image to match a bold goal to feed more hungry people across metro Atlanta and north Georgia. The new logo features a hand holding a peach, which signifies both giving and receiving fresh food. The bold orange color scheme echoes the national color of hunger awareness and conveys a sense of urgency around the issue.  According to organization officials, the new tagline “End Hunger. Grow Stronger” sends a clear message that by ending hunger not only do individuals grow stronger, but so does the community

IHG Opens Even® Hotel in New York City’s Downtown Brooklyn, Expanding Options For Wellness-minded Travelers

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), with its America’s HQ in Atlanta, announced the opening of the EVEN® Hotels brand’s fourth hotel and second New York City location, the 202-room flagship EVEN Hotels Brooklyn. EVEN Hotels is IHG’s newest lifestyle hotel brand, and was created with wellness at its core. The brand is designed to help travelers Eat Well, Rest Easy, Keep Active and Accomplish More, making it ideal to better serve wellness-minded travelers in the New York City area.

Coca-Cola is the First Fortune 500 Company to Replenish All the Water It Uses Globally

The Coca-Cola Company and its global bottling partners (the Coca-Cola system) recently announced they have met their goal to replenish, or in other words balance, the equivalent amount of water used in their global sales volume back to nature and communities. Based on this achievement, Coca-Cola is the first Fortune 500 company to publicly claim achieving such an aggressive water replenishment target. Instacart Grows in Atlanta

Competition is growing in the hot Food and Grocery delivery markets.  San Francisco-based Instacart has expanded the territories it serves by adding partnerships in Atlanta. The online delivery service is expanding its work with Publix and entering a new partnership with Lyndhurst, N.J.-based Asian grocer H Mart.  Publix, based in Lakeland Florida, maintains 182 stores in Georgia; while there are a total of 6 H-Mart locations in Atlanta. Metro Atlanta is one of Instacart’s fastest-growing markets and the company has already established local partnerships with Whole Foods Market, Costco, Kroger’s and Petco.
