ATLANTA, GA – May 30, 2017 — The National Restaurant Association held its annual foodservice, restaurant and hospitality industry showcase last week, May 20-23 at the McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois. Themed “Ahead of the Crave,” there was much to be seen and said about the use of technology in new combinations for food, beverage, and quality consumer service. Georgia companies were among the notable stars; here are a couple highlights:
- Orderly, the No. 1 app for restaurant inventory and invoicing, was featured in the Innovation Hub’s Startup Alley. Orderly is located in Sandy Springs, GA.
- The Coca-Cola Company‘s Barrilitos® Agua Frescas line won a 2017 FABI (Food and Beverage Innovation) Award for its low-calorie, fruity infusions.
- GP PRO, a division of Georgia-Pacific, debuted a new line of Dixie Ultra™ SmartStock® dispensers designed to bolster food safety.
- Nancy Kruse, president of The Kruse Co., an Atlanta-based company dedicated to assessing food and menu trends and directions, shared the top food and tech integration trends with the NRA audience.
