ATLANTA, GA– September 01, 2016–Competition is growing in the hot Food and Grocery delivery markets. San Francisco-based Instacart has expanded the territories it serves by adding partnerships in Atlanta. The online delivery service is expanding its work with Publix and entering a new partnership with Lyndhurst, N.J.-based Asian grocer H Mart. Publix, based in Lakeland Florida, maintains 182 stores in Georgia; while there are a total of 6 H-Mart locations in Atlanta.
Metro Atlanta is one of Instacart’s fastest-growing markets, but the company is facing faces competition in the region from companies like AmazonFresh, as well as home grown companies like Local Roots, RealMeal Delivery, and others.
In spite of the competition, Instacart has already established partners with Whole Foods Market, Costco, Krogers and Petco, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
