ATLANTA, GA– January 16, 2017– Personal finance website WalletHub recently unveiled its list of 2017’s Best & Worst Metro Areas for STEM( Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Professionals and Atlanta made the top ten.
The site compared the 100 largest metro areas across 17 key metrics to identify the best markets for STEM professionals. The Metro Atlanta- Sandy Springs region ranked 8th on the list and came in at #2 for Metros with the “Highest Quality Engineering Universities”.
According to estimates from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, STEM — science, technology, engineering and math — professions will expand 1.7 times faster than non-STEM occupations between 2010 and 2020.
