WiFi-enabled Grill Maker Unveils State of the Art HQ in Columbus



COLUMBUS, GA– April 24, 2017– Char-Broil, the developer of WiFi-enabled Smokers, recently opened its new global headquarters in Columbus, Georgia.  According to Columbus Ledger-Enquirer the new office building will be adjacent to Char-Broil’s one-million-square-foot North American Distribution Center.

Before the new headquarters opened, the more than 110 people who worked in the Columbus front-office operation were in a cobbled together space, mostly in the 1-million square feet of distribution space. The new office is expected to foster creativity, innovation, and communication, and to maximize operational effectiveness.

Char-Broil markets an array of grills, smokers, fryers and cooking accessories including the SmartChef® Gas Grill app, available on iOS 9 and beyond, that enables consumers to select their cook-through control mode for a guided time, or temperature cook; or can select manual mode.

The company is owned by W.C. Bradley Co. whose local roots dates to 1885 and maintains its corporate offices overlooking the Chattahoochee River in downtown Columbus. The company’s other operations include Zebco Brands in Tulsa, Okla., Lamplight Farms (Tiki Brand) in Menomonee Falls, Wisc., and W.C. Bradley Real Estate in Columbus.
