Evans, GA (April 23, 2015) – As Columbia County and the rest of Greater Augusta Region continues to grow, the Development Authority of Columbia County has decided to take a proactive role in developing a technology based ecosystem to support our existing businesses and prepare for future business opportunities.
In support of this goal, the Development Authority of Columbia County is offering funding assistance to Columbia County businesses willing to participate in TAG Ed’s Summer Internship Program. We are offing host companies a $500 matching grant to help offset the company’s $1,250 fee to participate in the Summer Internship Program. Our goal is to encourage companies and high school students to connect in new ways. The Development Authority of Columbia County is committed to exposing area students to the vast opportunities in our community. Additionally, this program will help raise awareness of our local businesses and the already established technology community in place.
Companies interested in applying for these funds are encouraged to visit the TAG Ed Summer Internship page on the Development Authority of Columbia County’s website and complete the “Matching Grant Request Form”. www.developcolumbiacounty.com/TAG-Ed
